Streamlined flow, more validation

A few Trial Fetch updates:
- The flow through the site has been streamlined so that now you enter the patient’s information, and once it’s complete the AI will go right into finding matching trials and showing you some of the most promising ones. We are always working to get you as fast as possible from patient data to actionable trial info.
- Patients now get a separate home page that makes it easier to enter the information needed to find matching trials.
- We’ve continued to test the site out to make sure it’s giving accurate matches. We just did an analysis of 120 patient-trial pairs where we compared whether TrialFetch said the patient was eligible for the trial to what a physician determined. There was 97% agreement, which we were very happy to see. It’s important to keep in mind that any promising trials from TrialFetch need to be carefully checked by the patient’s oncologist. This is because TrialFetch does not use all the information that some trials need, such as lab results or non-cancer illnesses.
- We are doing some interesting studies using the TrialFetch platform that I am hoping to be able to share more details about soon. For instance, we are using it to learn about where there are gaps in the landscape of open trials / where patients with certain cancer situations are not well served by existing trials. More to come!
